You can recognise an encrypted connection by the character string ‘https://’ and the lock symbol in your browser line.

B) Data collection when you visit our website

If you use our website for informational purposes only, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to our server (so-called ‘server log files’). When you visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website:

  • Our visited website
  • Date and time at the time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the page

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data will not be passed on or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

C) Cookies

We use cookies on various pages to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. These are small text files that are stored on your end device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and enable us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognise your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies). If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data as well as IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie.

If personal data is also processed by individual cookies implemented by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR, to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

We may work with advertising partners who help us to make our website more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive when you visit our website (third-party cookies). If we work with the aforementioned advertising partners, you will be informed individually and separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected in each case in the following paragraphs.

Please note that you can set your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and can decide individually whether to accept them or exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. These data are stored and used solely for the purpose of answering your request or for establishing contact and for the associated technical administration. The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in answering your request in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR. If your contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) point b GDPR. Your data will be deleted after the final processing of your enquiry; this is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified, provided that there are no legal storage obligations to the contrary.

E) Comment function

When you use the comment function on this website, in addition to your comment, information about when the comment was created and the name of the commentator you have chosen will also be stored and published on the website. We need your email address to contact you if a third party objects to your published content as unlawful. The legal basis for the storage of your data is Art. 6 (1) points b and f GDPR. We reserve the right to delete comments if a third party complains that they are unlawful.

F) Web analysis services

Google (Universal) Analytics

– Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the extension ‘_anonymizeIp()’, which ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes a direct personal reference. As a result of the extension, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, this processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR, on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

As an alternative to the browser plug-in or for browsers on mobile devices, please click on the following link to set an opt-out cookie that will prevent Google Analytics from collecting data from this site in the future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete your cookies in this browser, you will have to click this link again):

G) Tools and Miscellaneous

7.1 Google Maps

We use Google Maps (API) from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’) on our website. Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps to visually present geographical information. By using this service, our location is displayed to you, making it easier for you to find us.

When you access a subpage that includes a Google Maps map, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to, or whether there is no user account. If you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want this information to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as user profiles and evaluates them. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit.f DSGVO based on the legitimate interests of Google in the display of personalised advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google.

Google LLC, based in the United States, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement ‘Privacy Shield’, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

If you do not agree to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of using Google Maps, there is also the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus the map display on this website cannot then be used.

You can view Google’s terms of use at http://www.google. de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html, and the additional terms of service for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/de_US/help/terms_maps.html. Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website (‘Google Privacy Policy’): http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

7.2 Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’) to ensure fonts are displayed consistently. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display text and fonts correctly.

To do this, the browser you use has to establish a connection with Google’s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a consistent and attractive presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font is used by your computer.

Google LLC, based in the United States, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement ‘Privacy Shield’, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

H) Rights of the data subject

8.1 The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive data subject rights (rights of information and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, about which we will inform you below:

  • Right of access according to Art. 15 GDPR: In particular, you have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, object to the processing, lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the source of your data if it was not collected by us from you, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved and the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for you, as well as your right to be informed of the safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR for the transfer of your data to third countries;
  • Right to rectification under Article 16 of the GDPR: You have the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and/or to have incomplete personal data completed;
  • Right to erasure in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if the requirements of Art. 17 (1) GDPR are met. However, this right does not apply in particular if the processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, to fulfil a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
  • Right to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data as long as the correctness of your data, which you dispute, is verified, if you refuse to delete your data due to unauthorised data processing and instead request that the processing of your data be restricted, if you require your data for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims, after we no longer need this data after the purpose has been achieved, or if you have lodged an objection for reasons relating to your particular situation, as long as it is not yet clear whether our legitimate reasons prevail;
  • Right to information in accordance with Art. 19 GDPR: If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing vis-à-vis the controller, the controller is obliged to notify all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you have been disclosed of this rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.
  • Right to data portability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR: You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller, where technically feasible;
  • Right to revoke consent granted in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR: You have the right to revoke consent to the processing of data at any time with effect for the future. In the event of revocation, we will delete the data concerned without delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal;
  • Right to lodge a complaint in accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR: If you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

8.2 Right to object

If we process your personal data on the basis of our overriding legitimate interest in the context of a balancing of interests, you have the right at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object to this processing with effect for the future.

If you exercise your right of objection, we will stop processing the data concerned. However, we reserve the right to further processing if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for the purpose of such marketing. You can exercise the right to object as described above.

If you exercise your right of objection, we will stop processing the data concerned for direct marketing purposes.

I) Duration of personal data storage

The duration of the storage of personal data is determined on the basis of the respective statutory retention period (e.g. commercial and tax retention periods). After the deadline has passed, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfilment or initiation of the contract and/or if we have no legitimate interest in further storage.
